Welcome to Lily's Corner!

🐾 Welcome to Lily’s Corner: Where Pet Portraits & Rescue Stories Shine

Let me introduce you to someone very special—this is Lily, my four-legged shadow, loyal sidekick, and the official muse of my photography adventures.

Lily’s Corner is a space on my fine art portrait site that celebrates the lighter, furrier side of life. Inspired by this expressive little rescue pup with her wonky ears and soulful eyes, this blog is dedicated to the joy of pets, the magic of rescue stories, and the heartfelt moments I’ve captured with animals over the years.

Behind the Camera for a Cause

For over two years, I volunteered with Bosley’s for their Santa Pet Photos, raising funds for local animal rescues. We had lines of excited families, dogs in Christmas sweaters, cats in carriers, and even a few brave bunnies, all coming to snap a photo with Santa. It was equal parts festive and chaotic—in the best possible way. More importantly, the event raised much-needed funds for shelters and connected countless pets with loving homes.

Volunteering has become one of the most rewarding parts of my journey as a photographer. Whether it’s donating sessions to rescues or highlighting adoptable animals through portraits, I truly believe photography can help change lives—furry ones included.

Meet Lily: My Muse & Mischief-Maker

Lily came into my life like a little whirlwind of joy. With her expressive eyebrows, bouncy energy, and deeply curious nature, she quickly became my favorite subject to photograph—and also my biggest “helper” in the studio (by which I mean she likes to steal the spotlight and maybe the treats, too).

She’ll be making plenty of appearances here on the blog, sharing her own stories, behind-the-scenes antics, and occasional modeling tips (step one: look cute, always).

What You’ll Find in Lily’s Corner

This blog will feature:

  • Pet portrait session highlights

  • Behind-the-scenes of my volunteer work

  • Photography tips for pet parents

  • And of course, Lily being Lily 🐶

Whether you’re here for the smiles, the stories, or you just love a good dog photo, I’m so happy you’ve found your way here.

With love & muddy paw prints,
Marjie and Lily

“I take my modeling career very seriously… but naps come first.”

Oh Lily! That face is everything. The squish, the sleepy eyes, the tongue—this is world-class derp
